Parts Runner Stahmanns Pecans - 4.0 La Mesa, NM Job Details Full-time $14 - $15 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Spanish Team leadership English High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Position Scope/Summary The Parts Runner supports farm operations and maintenance activities by ensuring the timely procurement, transportation, delivery, and organization of parts, tools, materials, and supplies required for equipment maintenance and agricultural operations. This position plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime by coordinating with vendors, assisting with inventory management, expediting emergency parts orders, and supporting technicians and farm personnel with the resources needed to maintain efficient operations. The Parts Runner is also responsible for maintaining accurate delivery records, supporting parts room organization, assisting with inventory cycle counts, and performing general shop and warehouse duties as assigned. This role serves as a key link between the maintenance shop, farm operations, suppliers, and inventory management systems to ensure parts availability and operational continuity Parts Management Deliver parts and supplies to technicians and field personnel. Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts shipments. Maintain accurate inventory records. Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory. Label and store parts according to shop standards. Vendor Coordination Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers. Expedite urgent parts orders. Support and / or Coordinate returns, warranties, and credits. Shop Support Assist mechanics with non-technical tasks. (paperwork, workorders) Help with stage parts for scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance. Field Support Deliver emergency parts to field equipment. Support irrigation, harvest, and farming operations as needed. Assist with transportation of tools and supplies between locations. Maintenance Software Utilization As the company implements MaintX, the position should support inventory tracking, work orders and documentation. Record parts receipts and inventory transactions in MaintX. Work orders with delivered parts. Assist in maintaining accurate parts and inventory records within the system. Support preventive maintenance planning through proper parts tracking. Vendor and Purchasing Support Assist with obtaining quotes from vendors. Follow up parts orders and deliveries. Help minimize equipment downtime through timely parts delivery. Safety and Compliance Responsibilities Participate in all required safety training programs. Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when applicable. Perform daily vehicle inspections. Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Shop Organization and Continuous Improvement Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Support implementation of 5S and workplace organization initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the parts room and shop operations. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Hardworking. Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time Pick up and deliver parts using a company-provided vehicle Maintain organization and cleanliness of the parts room Assist with labeling, stocking, and inventory of parts Communicate clearly with vendors, shop managers, and technicians Lift up to 50 pounds safely and regularly Perform light physical labor and assist in the shop when not on deliveries Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends Always follow safe driving and operating procedures Necessary Skills and Knowledge Excellent communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and capacity to lead. Excellent capacity for teamwork. Punctuality and reliability are critical. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements (Physical and Mental Demands) High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Fluent Spanish required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to lift to 50 pounds. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Basic computer skills preferred. Experience in agriculture, automotive, warehouse, or inventory operations preferred.
