Job Description

Parts Room Clerk SUMMARY Exciting opportunity for a Parts Room Clerk to join our fast-growing, disposable consumer products company, located in Hauppauge, NY. The Parts Room Clerk involves the managing of receiving, stocking, and distributing parts and supplies within an organization. You are the gatekeeper of all parts and liaison to the mechanics, production, warehouse, etc. You must carry out all responsibilities in accordance with company policies and our core values.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Inventory Management:
Keep a watchful eye on inventory levels. You're the gatekeeper of parts, making sure they're neither too scarce nor overflowing. Order new materials when needed Update records accordingly
Parts Room:
Clean, organize, and maintain supplies, tools, and equipment. Conduct cycle counts /inventory checks Utilize internal computer programs to issue, return, and process parts. On the
Move:
Parts Delivery - deliver parts to maintenance team or other recipients. Prepare shipments and handle receipts where applicable Operate a forklift where needed Keep things tidy—sweep, mop, and maintain during down time.
Customer Service:
Assist all customers promptly and professionally.
JOB REQUIREMENTS 1-3
years of direct work experience High School Diploma or bachelor's degree preferred Know your way around a manufacturing parts shop Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, maintenance parts, and ERP systems is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook, would be preferred.
