Job Description
Dismantler in Akron, Ohio, USA We are currently hiring a skilled and experienced Dismantler to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As a Dismantler, you will be responsible for disassembling and removing parts from damaged or old vehicles, preparing them for recycling or resale. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and strong mechanical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble vehicles using various hand and power tools
- Identify and remove usable parts for resale
- Sort and organize removed parts for storage or shipment
- Follow safety procedures to ensure safe handling of vehicle components
- Maintain work area clean and organized
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive dismantling or related field
- Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of tools used in dismantling vehicles
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and ability to identify usable parts
