This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Essential Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales:
Meet and assist customers in a courteous, professional manner, providing accurate information and support. Answer incoming phone calls, providing price quotes and product details. Inform customers of current parts specials and promotions. Solicit assigned accounts by phone to encourage additional business. Demonstrate company values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
Parts Ordering & Fulfillment:
Retrieve purchased parts from inventory. If parts are not in stock, determine availability, prepare requisitions, and submit orders, including emergency orders when required. Accurately price parts and accessories using proper pricing sources and update the computer system accordingly. Set up parts orders for daily shipment, delivery, or customer pickup. Issue credit for returned parts according to company policies.
Inventory & Department Maintenance:
Ensure all incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department. Receive and ship parts in accordance with company policies. Display parts attractively to promote sales. Assist in inventory control to achieve maximum turnover and meet department goals. Advise the Parts Manager of any inventory discrepancies or areas needing attention. Keep work areas and customer waiting areas clean and orderly. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; auto parts sales experience preferred. Eagerness to grow and improve in a dynamic work environment. Strong interpersonal communication and time-management skills. Ability to read and interpret safety, maintenance, and procedural documents. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percentages, commissions, area, circumference, and volume. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must work efficiently in a fast-paced retail and shop setting. Requires handling of automotive parts, shipping materials, and inventory tools.
