As a turn-key fabrication shop, Valley Fab Corp manages every stage of the process, from design and engineering to production and assembly. The company is committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. The Service Counter Specialist plays a vital role as the first point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally while supporting the smooth operation of the parts and service counter. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers at the service counter, identifying their needs and recommending appropriate parts or services Provide basic technical guidance and product information to help customers make informed decisions Process sales transactions, quotes, and special orders accurately and efficiently Manage parts inventory, including receiving, stocking, conducting cycle counts, and reordering as needed Maintain organized and accurate inventory records within the system Coordinate with service technicians and internal teams to ensure timely parts availability and job readiness Handle customer inquiries, returns, and warranty requests in a professional manner Keep the service counter and parts area clean, organized, and well-stocked Monitor inventory levels and promptly communicate shortages or discrepancies Follow company procedures for safety, documentation, and customer service standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a parts/service environment preferred Basic knowledge of inventory management practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills, including experience with POS systems, inventory software, and email Mechanical or technical aptitude is a plus Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting moderate-weight items as needed Compensation $20.00$28.00 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
