EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supports Fleet Parts & Supplies daily operations by including ordering, receiving, stocking, issuing, and reconciling payments for parts and supplies.

Identifies and researches parts using catalogs, databases, technician specification, and vendor resources.

Provides support to technicians and City staff, ensuring timely fulfillment and resolving sourcing issues.

Communicates and coordinates with vendors about pricing, availability, and shipping.

Uses inventory and fleet management systems to maintain accurate records.

Monitors stock levels and recommends adjustments based on operational needs.

Processes purchases, returns, and vendor invoices in line with purchasing policies.

Tracks and verifies shipments and resolves delivery discrepancies.

Maintains clean, organized, and secure storage areas.

Performs inventory counts and reconciliation.

Operates forklift and other material-handling equipment as needed.

Maintains purchasing, inventory, and warranty records; prepares routine reports.

Supports and recommends new technology, tools, and process improvements.

Performs general clerical tasks and contributes to a safe, inclusive workplace.

Other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Working Conditions:
Position requires both computer/office work and strenuous physical labor, including frequent walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, standing for prolonged periods, climbing and ability to push, lift, pull, and carry heavy and bulky objects up to 50 pounds. Some duties may involve exposure to adverse weather condition, noise, dust and hazardous chemicals and locations. Some duties may involve working in confined areas. Position may require wearing protective equipment and clothing.

What to Expect from our Selection Process Applicants are screened based upon their relevant knowledge, abilities, skills, experience, and training. The selection process varies according to the position and can include such things as screening of supplemental questionnaires, written or skill tests, ability or fitness tests, interviews, and assessment processes. In addition, background investigations and records checks may be required. Some positions also require applicants to have a psychological evaluation and/or physical examination and a drug test prior to employment. Marijuana use is evaluated consistent with current state law regulations.
