Job Description

The Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting technicians and customers with identifying, ordering, and supplying the correct parts in a timely and professional manner. This position supports the service department by maintaining accurate inventory records, processing parts transactions, and providing excellent customer service. The Parts Advisor uses the Automate DMS to manage parts inventory, repair orders, and customer transactions. Key Responsibilities Assist service technicians and retail/wholesale customers with parts requests. Look up, price, and order OEM and aftermarket parts as needed. Process parts sales and repair orders using the Automate DMS. Maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving, stocking, and binning parts. Monitor backorders and communicate order status with customers and service advisors. Keep the parts department clean, organized, and stocked. Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts. Process warranty parts according to manufacturer guidelines. Work closely with the service department to ensure timely repairs and customer satisfaction. Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous automotive parts experience preferred. Knowledge of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram parts is a plus. Experience with the Automate DMS is preferred. Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Performance Expectations Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service. Maintain inventory accuracy and proper documentation. Support efficient shop operations by supplying technicians with the correct parts. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to dealership policies and customer satisfaction.
