Job Description

Company Overview Lewis Truck Lines is a family-owned and operated over-the-road trucking company based in Aynor, SC with a fleet of approximately 150 tractor-trailers. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shop Administrator to join our team! In this vital role, you will oversee daily shop operations, manage procurement and inventory processes, and coordinate logistics to ensure smooth workflow. Fleet & Maintenance Operations Scheduling and tracking maintenance services and equipment inspections Handling break downs - locating shops, proper communication Obtain updates on status of trucks and trailers Memorizing and tracking company equipment warranty dates and details Report to Shop Foreman about equipment issues Daily/weekly emails about equipment status and inspection schedules Ensure safety procedures and protocols are being followed in shop Parts & Inventory Management Ordering and quoting parts Maintaining inventory of parts and equipment Knowing how to look up parts Obtaining the correct part by mechanic's request Shop cleanliness/organization Financial & Administrative Procurement Writing purchase orders for accounting Writing service invoices Ensure all is billed correctly and matches when parts are returned for accounting Scanning and filling Microsoft experience Communication & Liaison Making and Receiving phone calls to drivers, vendors, office personnel, and other companies Email and phone communication with office personnel Communication with Shop Foreman and EVP about pricing and quotes Report and document all safety incidents in shop Bring your expertise in supply chain logistics, automotive services, or shop management to help us deliver excellence every day. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
