Parts Manager Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Automotive Parts Counter Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive parts, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will assist customers with their automotive parts needs, manage inventory, and support the overall efficiency of our parts department.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers and assist them in identifying and purchasing automotive parts and accessories. Provide expert advice on parts compatibility and usage.
Order Management:
Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely fulfillment of customer requests. Handle special orders and backorders as needed.
Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock checks, managing restocking processes, and organizing parts displays for optimal accessibility.
Product Knowledge:
Stay updated on the latest automotive parts, accessories, and industry trends to provide informed recommendations to customers.
System Maintenance:
Utilize parts management software to track sales, inventory, and orders. Ensure that all transactions are logged accurately.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the service department and other team members to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Problem Solving:
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner, striving for effective solutions.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in automotive parts sales or a similar role is required. Knowledge of automotive systems and components is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with automotive parts management software and point-of-sale systems. Basic computer proficiency is required.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers. Attention to

Ability to accurately process orders and maintain organized records.
Customer Focus:
A commitment to providing excellent customer service and building lasting relationships with customers.
Team Player:
Willingness to collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy parts (up to 50 lbs.) as needed. Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
