Boater's World Marine Centers is seeking an experienced Service & Parts Advisor to join our growing team in Grand Prairie, TX. This role combines customer service, service writing, parts sales, and repair coordination into one fast-paced position. You'll work directly with customers, technicians, and vendors to ensure repairs are completed efficiently, customers stay informed, and parts are available when needed. What You'll Do Customer Service Serve as a key point of contact for service and parts customers Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and follow-up Assist customers with maintenance recommendations, repair needs, and parts inquiries Keep customers informed on repair status, timelines, and parts availability Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently Service Writing & Repair Coordination Documentation of customer concerns, service requests, and unit conditions Create and manage repair orders using Lightspeed Prepare estimates for parts, labor, and additional services Obtain customer approvals and communicate any changes in repair scope Coordinate with technicians to ensure repairs stay on schedule Monitor job progress from intake through completion Parts Sales & Inventory Support Assist customers, technicians and Sales Team members with parts and accessory needs Process special orders and vendor purchases Maintain familiarity with marine parts, accessories, and inventory Recommend complementary products and services to customers Support inventory organization and stock management Team Collaboration Work closely with Service, Parts, Sales, and Management teams Help ensure a smooth customer experience throughout the repair process Support dealership goals through strong communication and teamwork
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Service or Parts Advisor role, preferably in the marine or automotive industry. Proficiency in Lightspeed dealership management software or similar systems is required. Strong communication skills and a customer-centric attitude with a commitment to providing the highest level of service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail. Basic knowledge of marine vehicle systems, outboard engines, and general boating products is preferred. Ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, parts staff, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and kneeling as required to assist customers and manage parts inventory. Comfortable working in a shop environment with potential exposure to noise, chemicals, and physical hazards.
Working Conditions:
This position is on-site at our Grand Prairie, TX location. May occasionally require more than 40 hours per week, depending on seasonal demand.
