Bemer Motor Cars is a 41+ year family business dedicated to providing great service for BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen vehicles. We are Houston's best alternative to the franchise dealership, we have a 20+ bay service facility, factory diagnostic platforms for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Land Rover, and Jaguar, in house parts department, CARSTAR Collision Center, and pre-owned vehicle sales all on our 5 acre facility. Job Summary We are seeking a fast-paced, organized, and technically minded Automotive Parts Specialist to join our dealership's parts team. Unlike a traditional retail parts role, this position focuses heavily on supporting our internal service department. You will serve as the primary lifeline for our service technicians—accurately sourcing, ordering, and dispatching the parts they need to keep vehicles moving through the bays efficiently. Additionally, you will collaborate with service advisors to build precise parts estimates for incoming repair orders.
Key Responsibilities:

Technician Support & Parts Dispatching Internal Service Counter:
Primary point of contact for dealership technicians; interpret their diagnostic needs and retrieve the correct parts from inventory.
Sourcing & Procurement:
Efficiently locate and order out-of-stock parts from the manufacturer, local wholesalers, or aftermarket vendors to minimize vehicle downtime.
Parts Dispatching:
Organize, pull, and deliver parts directly to technician bays or staging areas, ensuring they have the right components at the right time. -
Estimating & Advisor Collaboration Build Service Estimates:
Review technician diagnoses and build comprehensive parts estimates (including part numbers, pricing, and availability) for vehicles currently in for service.
Pricing Accuracy:
Ensure proper pricing structures (warranty, internal, retail, or fleet) are applied accurately to repair orders.
Communication:
Update Service Advisors on backordered parts, ETAs, and pricing changes so they can keep customers informed. -
Inventory & Administrative Control Core & Warranty Tracking:
Properly tag, log, and process defective parts, cores, and manufacturer warranty returns.
Receive & Stock:
Assist in checking in daily parts shipments, verifying packing slips, and stocking shelves.
DMS Management:
Maintain precise records of all parts issued to repair orders within the Dealership Management System (DMS).
1-3 years of experience in an automotive parts department (dealership experience highly preferred).
Technical Literacy:
Strong understanding of automotive systems, components, and terminology to easily interpret technician requests.
Catalog Proficiency:
Proven experience navigating Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC) and manufacturer databases.
Core Skills Speed & Accuracy:
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing attention to detail.
Communication:
Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technicians, advisors, and vendors.
Tech Savvy:
Familiarity with Dealership Management Systems (such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack) is a major plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
