ROMCO EQUIPMENT COMPANY
has supported the biggest names in the Texas construction and mining industries by filling their heavy equipment needs since 1961. ROMCO is currently seeking talented and driven Service Administrator to join the team supporting the Lubbock branch operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Summarize mechanics' reports into a coherent work description on the invoice and/or claim Review and close work orders on a continuing basis with approval of Branch Manager or Product Support Manager Prepare and file claims in accordance with manufacturer requirements and timelines Input expenses for parts, labor, outside purchases, and travel expenses into Work Orders Assist in parts counter sales Receive, unload, and put up parts shipments Assist in gathering and shipping of parts for special parts returns and in support of warranty claims. Assist in returning cores back to factories as required Timely closing of Work Orders Timely filing of Warranty Claims Assure accuracy of billing based on information provided by service personnel Completeness of billing
  • check that everything is accounted for & there are no forgotten charges Able to detect work order discrepancies Match chargeable hours against payroll hours Assist with physical counts of the inventory All other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED
Clerical
  • touch typing, filing, data entry, basic spreadsheet, e-mail, fax, etc. Organizational
  • organize and prioritize tasks, work on a schedule w/ deadlines Good verbal and very good written communication skills Customer relations Attention to detail and follow-up Relationship Building
  • ability to work well with others in different job positions, customers and vendors Mechanical Aptitude
  • broad knowledge of construction machinery
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent required 2 years' experience in industry or similar role preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be alert and is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in an office environment. Office hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional needs outside standard business hours to accommodate meetings, training and projects. Some travel may be required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
