Responsibilities Source and purchase auto parts and scrap materials from local and international suppliers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements that align with company goals. Utilize ERP systems to manage procurement activities, track inventory levels, and process purchase orders efficiently. Collaborate with production planning and logistics teams to coordinate timely delivery of parts and scrap materials for ongoing operations. Maintain accurate inventory control through regular audits, data entry, and updating records within materials management systems. Monitor market trends in auto parts pricing and scrap metal values to optimize sourcing strategies and maximize profitability. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other scrap purchasing ERPs, for procurement and inventory management. Strong knowledge of materials management, supply chain management, and logistics processes. Experience with purchasing negotiations, contract management, and sourcing strategies within the automotive or scrap recycling industry. Familiarity with inventory control techniques including inventory management software and e-commerce platforms. Ability to analyze pricing trends in auto parts and scrap markets to inform procurement decisions. Excellent communication skills for negotiating with suppliers and coordinating cross-functional teams. Knowledge of production planning, merchandising, contracts management, and supply chain optimization principles.
