Parts / Service Support - Coastal Equipment (Virginia Beach) Coastal Equipment 757-424-1900 Hiring Location Virginia Beach, VA Virginia Beach Location 504 S Military Hwy Virginia Beach, VA 23464 Parts and Service play a critical role at Coastal Equipment by providing exceptional support to our customers and internal service teams. This position requires a strong understanding of parts and exceptional customer service skills on a wide range of construction equipment. We are also looking for someone who can support the Service department with check-ins and check-outs. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-tier service and upholding the quality standards synonymous with the John Deere brand. Key Responsibilities Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and locating the right parts for equipment repairs and purchases. Utilize the dealership's inventory management system to track, order, and manage parts inventory. Handle incoming parts inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and timely information to meet customer needs. Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the parts department to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Collaborate with the service and sales teams to provide comprehensive support to customers, actively contributing to achieving customer satisfaction and dealership sales targets. Occasionally complete check-ins or check-outs with the Service department. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or parts management training is a plus. Proven experience in a parts department or similar role, preferably in the agricultural, construction, or automotive industry. Strong knowledge of John Deere equipment and parts, including part numbers, functions, and compatibility. Proficiency in using computerized parts and inventory systems. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts (up to 50 pounds) as needed. What Makes You Stand Out Forklift operation certification for moving heavy parts. Experience with John Deere Parts ADVISOR™ or similar parts information systems Knowledge of warranties and parts return procedures Additional Information This position may require occasional travel for field service calls or training purposes.
