Parts Clerk SmartTalent•3.8 Redmond, WA Job Details Full-time $25•$40 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Parts Clerk SmartTalent Kirkland is seeking a detail-oriented and organized parts clerk to support maintenance and production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on role is responsible for sourcing parts and supplies, managing inventory levels, maintaining accurate CMMS data, and ensuring critical spares are readily available to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and highly organized, with experience in purchasing, inventory control, and vendor coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys optimizing processes, negotiating with suppliers, and playing a key role in keeping operations running efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.

Promote and model a strong safety-first mindset by actively supporting environmental, health, and safety standards in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Contribute to a culture that prioritizes quality and food safety, ensuring adherence to established procedures, programs, and compliance standards. Partner with Maintenance and Operations teams to implement a forward-thinking procurement strategy that aligns with current demands and future business growth. Lead and support continuous improvement efforts related to MRO purchasing processes and inventory management. Develop and manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for assigned categories; evaluate bids and collaborate with suppliers and contractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Oversee daily storeroom operations, including receiving, organizing, kitting, and distributing parts and supplies to maintenance and production teams. Monitor and optimize inventory levels by establishing and maintaining appropriate minimum and maximum quantities, reorder points, and overall stock control processes. Perform routine cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and maintain audit readiness at all times. Manage critical spare parts inventory to support operational uptime and production efficiency. Develop and maintain equipment Bills of Materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Maintain and update CMMS records, including part descriptions, new item setup, and BOM revisions; generate inventory reports and performance metrics as needed. Analyze historical usage trends to identify obsolete inventory; coordinate proper removal and financial disposition of outdated parts. Review and approve invoices related to storeroom and purchasing activities. Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years' experience in purchasing, inventory control, or storeroom operations; manufacturing or MRO experience preferred. Knowledge of inventory management principles, including analysis of minimum and maximum stock levels. Experience with supplier negotiations and procurement best practices preferred. Familiarity with FDA, GMP, and food safety standards is a plus. Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and provide excellent internal customer support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as required.
