PSSR

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The PSSR must travel to job sites to inspect machines. Undercarriages are measured and projected life estimates are made from these in the field measurements. Regular calls are made on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Emergency calls are responded to and often require overnight travel. The PSSR counsels machine owners on the lowest possible operating costs for Caterpillar machinery. Manage Caterpillar parts and inventory at a customer site, such as filters, hose and coupling stock. One of the most critical functions of the Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) is to develop and maintain customer and community relationships. Integration into the community and regular contact with customers and community involvement during and outside of normal working hours is crucial to providing the level of customer service that Wyoming Machinery Company is known for. The PSSR is to establish residency in the stores town where their territory is based. The towns that Wyoming Machinery Company has stores in are Casper, Cheyenne, Gillette and Rock Springs.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

• The PSSR is responsible for entertaining customers and building social relationships as well as professional relationships.
• Trips to factories or training schools may last more than a week.
• The PSSR organizes leads and manages customer meetings at all levels.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY

• Minimum - High School Graduate Advanced degrees are encouraged to assist in formal written quotes.
• Sales presentations and computerized maintenance programs.
• The PSSR must be able to read, write and understand English.
• This person should have five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in the parts or service department with two (2) years of sales experience.
• The PSSR should have selling experience and have good people skills.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Material and equipment directly used: Must be familiar with Ultrasonic Wear Indicator, personal computer and mainframe computer applications and other technological devices. PSSR must have a valid driver's license.
• PSSR works outside measuring track and inspecting machines.
• PSSR needs to be able to lift 50 pounds and carry heavy items.
