- Receive request for quotes (from customer/sales personnel)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Determine if new, rebuild or revision change
- Verify bill of material (BOM), part drawing/print and analyzing data that can affect cost
- Verify any changes to requirements
- Research, source, negotiate to obtain best pricing for quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Check tolerances
- Verify manufacturer component's part number
- Determine the part quantity & gather information on availability & pricing.
- Estimate assembly time (consult manufacturing & scheduling for realistic completion)
- Compile information and give to sales personnel
- Maintain file information

Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Overall leadership and organizational skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to successfully navigate and search the internet. Must be detail oriented. Type 35 WPM.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
