This is a very Excel-heavy position and is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys spreadsheets, formulas, report building, data cleanup, templates, and maintaining accurate information. Our company works with a large amount of product, pricing, vendor, inventory, order, and customer-related data. The core of this role is taking information from our ordering and accounting software and turning it into clean, accurate, useful Excel reports, internal logs, and order templates. This person will work directly with our head buyer and will also support the buying team with ad hoc tasks as needed. Accuracy, speed, organization, and strong communication skills are very important. Responsibilities Create and maintain Excel order templates with multiple linked tabs Build custom Excel reports using data from our ordering and accounting software Maintain internal logs related to products, vendors, pricing, orders, inventory, and buying activity Pull product, pricing, order, and vendor information from internal systems and organize it into clear Excel reports Use Excel formulas to calculate, organize, review, and present data accurately Use
VLOOKUP, INDEX
MATCH, data tables, and other Excel functions to improve speed and accuracy Create charts and graphs when needed to help review and present information Use conditional formatting to highlight missing information, duplicate entries, pricing issues, errors, or other important details Review spreadsheets, reports, templates, and logs for accuracy and consistency Assist the head buyer with pricing updates, product data, order templates, reporting, and internal tracking Help improve existing Excel files, logs, templates, and reporting processes Work within company ordering and accounting software to enter, review, update, and pull information Communicate clearly with internal team members regarding reports, data questions, order details, and follow up items Support the buying team with ad hoc tasks as needed Assist with other reporting, administrative, buyer support, and accounting related tasks as needed Qualifications Advanced Excel skills required Experience working with large amounts of data in a business setting Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work efficiently while keeping data clean and organized Comfortable learning and working within internal software systems Strong communication skills Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks at once Prior experience in reporting, data entry, inventory, accounting support, buying department support, distribution, wholesale, or operations is a plus Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is naturally comfortable working in Excel and enjoys detailed, behind the scenes data work. This role is a strong fit for someone who likes structure, accuracy, spreadsheets, and helping a busy department stay organized. The right person should be dependable, detail focused, comfortable asking questions, and able to support the buying team with both recurring reports and day to day tasks.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
