Job Description
Job Function:
Set up and host product sampling events to drive sales and brand awareness. This role requires a balance of customer service, sales ability, and strict adherence to food safety standards.Responsibilities:
I.Station Management:
Responsible for the complete setup, management, and breakdown of the demonstration station or event table.II.
Customer Engagement:
Proactively intercepts and engages with shoppers to offer product samples and explain features, benefits, and preparation suggestions. Answer customers product questions regarding the demo details and informs customer of all attributes and allergens. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employees designated department or elsewhere in the store. Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.III.
Food Preparation:
Prepares and serves food samples according to strict safety and sanitation guidelines, often using small appliances like microwaves, electric skillets, toaster ovens, kettles or coffee makers. Keep all work areas clean and neat. Stock supplies needed for demonstration.IV.
Sales Promotion:
Encourages immediate purchase through persuasive communication, coupon distribution, and educational product knowledge. Assists in other areas of the store as needed and preforms other job related duties or special projects as required.Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills are essential to capture customer attention and answer product-related questions .Food Safety:
knowledge of safe food handling practices, Food Handlers Certification required. Familiarity with natural foods and a grocery store environment Able to stand for long periods of time. Able to lift 50 lbs. The ideal candidate would exhibit presentation skills, feel confident in front of a crowd, engage customers to draw interest and boost sales, be able to quickly assess prospects and adjust how they talk to use sales tactics that are effective. Be able to think quickly and lead conversations and interactions. Typically works independently at their station but must build rapport with Product Demonstrator Coordinator and staff to ensure smooth events.
