Starting at $19 per hour Unicorn Auctions is revolutionizing the spirits and wine market by creating a modern platform that connects seasoned collectors and new enthusiasts alike. We're dedicated to delivering seamless experiences to our users through exceptional logistics, storage, and customer service. The Auction Operations Specialist is a hands-on role focused on managing bottle intake and receiving operations . You'll play a critical part in ensuring bottles are processed efficiently and accurately, whether they arrive via parcel delivery or in-person drop-offs. Attention to detail, care in handling high-value bottles, and a desire to learn and grow within the company are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities Bottle Intake & Processing :
Perform data entry, catalog bottles, and ensure details such as brand, vintage, barrel pick, proof, age, and condition are recorded accurately.
Receiving Operations :
Handle incoming packages and assist sellers during in-person bottle drop-offs, verifying shipments and managing intake processes.
Inspection & Quality Control :
Review bottles for authenticity, condition, and quality before processing for auction, paying close attention to high-value items.
Collaboration :
Work closely with the Auction Launch team and warehouse staff to streamline bottle intake and ensure auction readiness.
Organization & Logistics :
Maintain a well-organized intake area, track incoming shipments, and communicate with the team to resolve discrepancies. Qualifications Attention to
Detail :
Meticulous in inspecting and documenting bottle information, with special care for high-value bottles.
Customer Interaction Skills :
Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with sellers during in-person drop-offs.
Tech Proficiency :
Familiarity with data entry software and tools like Google Suite and Microsoft Office; ability to learn processing tools quickly.
Multitasking Ability :
Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing effectively.
Physical Stamina :
Ability to lift and move packages and bottles as needed.
Team Player :
Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Growth Mindset :
Eagerness to learn about wine, spirits, and auction operations, and grow alongside the company. Experience in
Wine or Spirits :
