Event Supervisor Grand Rapids, MI Job Details Part-time $17 - $19 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Guest relations Vendor management Sales Mid-level Event vendor coordination Store opening/closing procedures Communication skills Full Job Description The Event Supervisor is a hands-on, on-site role that's all about making events feel seamless, welcoming, and stress-free. You'll be the friendly face of the venue on event days, help couples and clients feel supported, and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. This role also gives you the chance to learn venue sales, lead tours, assist with decor, and support day-of coordination when clients add those services — making it a great fit for someone who wants experience in multiple parts of the event world.
Schedule:
Part-time, event based. Shifts typically fall Thursday-Sunday (not every week). Evenings and weekends required.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
On Event Days Be the on-site venue point person (aka: the calm in the chaos) Open and close the venue and keep things running smoothly Make sure setup, timelines, and breakdown stay on track Communicate with clients, vendors, and staff throughout the event Step in to solve small issues and know when to loop in leadership Venue Tours & Learning Sales Lead venue tours for potential clients Learn how to talk through our space, packages, and policies Help create a welcoming, exciting experience for future clients Share tour feedback with the sales team Decor & Day-Of Support (When Added On) Help set up decor and styled details Lead day-of coordination tasks and timelines Assist with vendor arrivals and event flow Be an extra set of hands to make the day feel effortless Vendor, Staff & Guest Support Guide vendors during load-in and load-out Make sure venue policies are followed (kindly and confidently) Keep an eye on guest flow, safety, and capacity Wrap-Up Help oversee breakdown and vendor exit Share post-event notes or flag any issues Secure the venue at the end of the night Convivial Brands Expectations of all
