Full Job Description Job Title:
Consignment Specialist (Antiques & Auctions) About the Role Are you passionate about history, unique collectibles, and the thrill of the hunt? We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Consignment Specialist to join our growing auction team. In this role, you will be the bridge between incredible estates and the collectors who love them. You'll spend your days cataloging fascinating items and helping us bring estate treasures to the global market.
Key Responsibilities Cataloging & Curation:
Photograph, precisely measure, and write detailed, compelling descriptions of antiques and collectibles for our online auction catalogs.
Research:
Utilize your foundational knowledge of antiques to identify makers, eras, and materials, ensuring accurate representations.
Estate Pick-ups:
Assist the team with on-site estate cleanouts and pick-ups. This includes carefully packing, loading, and transporting fragile inventory back to our facility.
Inventory Management:
Help organize and track consigned items as they move through the auction pipeline.
What We're Looking For Antique Knowledge:
A solid, foundational understanding of antiques, vintage items, and collectibles (furniture, art, ceramics, jewelry, etc.).
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift, pack, and move furniture and heavy boxes during estate pick-ups (must be able to lift up to [e.g., 50 lbs]).
Professionalism:
A respectful, empathetic attitude when working in clients' homes during estate transitions.
Reliability:
A valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
