Job Description
We are currently seeking a successful, enthusiastic individual to focus on Event planning, Hotel Sales, and Coordination. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing outstanding customer service to current and potential clients, to help them organize events (weddings, galas, meetings, hotel room blocks, and more!) Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with all stages of planning and production of events/catering, specifically the itinerary, food and beverage design, room layout, and hotel accommodations. Establish and maintain relationships with corporate accounts for hotel, events, and catering needs. Lead tours of the property for future events such as weddings, galas, showers, meetings, etc. Manage and respond to inquiries in a timely manner with appropriate follow-up. Ability to work with customers to establish and work within a budget. Commitment to innovation; eagerness to share ideas on how to improve services. Strong market research skills; identifying hotel, event, and catering opportunities and generating interest. Positive attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure. Proactive approach to handling any challenges that might arise and the ability to quickly troubleshoot any problems that might arise.Requirements and Qualifications:
BS in Event Management or related field (Preferred) Proven successful work experience as a sales associate, event planner/coordinator, or related field. Creative, impressive portfolio of previously managed events (e.g. Fundraisers, Galas, Themed Events, Product Launches, Concerts, Conferences, Shows, Corporate Events) Outstanding time management and communication skills. Solid marketing and sales skills and proven ability to build fruitful business relationships. Exceptional multitasking skills to manage multiple projects independently and consistently. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and familiar with all relevant technology. Willingness to submit professional references from previous clients.Job Type:
