This is a high-energy, public-facing role ideal for individuals who enjoy connecting with people and believe in the importance of local journalism. As a Brand Ambassador, you will serve as the face of our organization and play a key role in growing audience engagement and subscriptions. Key Responsibilities Represent our media brands at local events, festivals, and community gatherings Engage attendees in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner Promote and sell digital and print subscriptions Encourage sign-ups for free newsletters and digital products Answer questions about our content, products, and services Set up, manage, and break down event booths (includes light lifting) Capture insights and feedback from event participants to inform future outreach efforts What We Offer Paid training to ensure your success in the role Branded equipment and marketing materials Mileage reimbursement and paid travel time Flexible, part-time schedule (up to 20 hours per week) Compensation $20/hour (1099 contractor role) Mileage reimbursement Paid travel time Qualifications Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills Interest in and enthusiasm for local news and community engagement Comfortable using tablets and basic digital tools Dependable, self-motivated, and professional Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (event equipment/materials) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Availability to work weekends and event-based schedules Why This Role Matters Local journalism plays a vital role in informing and connecting communities.
