Product Demonstrator

Job Summary Wheeler Dealer is a retail discount grocery and department store. We are in need of a responsible person who can work with limited supervision to fill the roll of a product demonstrator.

Position Summary:

The Product Demonstrator will prepare and distribute samples to customers while answering customer questions and actively promoting the featured product(s). This is a temporary part-time position with the potential to become permanent and/or full-time for the right applicant depending on business needs.

Qualifications:

Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to actively engage customers in discussion. Bilingual is a plus but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age due to equipment usage and the potential to sell alcohol. Must have or be qualified to earn the Oregon Food Handlers Card. Must be able and willing to follow direction from management and comply with company policies. Must be able to stand and work on hard surfaces for 4-8 hour shifts. Must have reliable form of transportation. The ability to travel to other locations is desired but not required.

Responsibilities:

Store is open seven days a week and may require working evenings, weekend, and/or holidays. Simple cooking, portioning dry food, pouring drinks or otherwise assisting cusomers in sampleing featured items. Cleaning and maintaining the station, equipment and area is a critical element of this position. This position may also be demonstrating non-food merchandise as well. Cashiering, store recovery and stocking tasks may also be assigned depending on the needs of the store. Pay commensurate with experience.
