Occasional Auctioneer Needed

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and professional Occasional Auctioneer to join our dynamic team on a flexible, as-needed basis. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to call bids our live auctions, which we have about twice a month. We are looking for people to add to our call list when our owner/auctioneer needs to travel, is sick, or has a sale that is too big to handle alone. You do not need to commit to work every auction. This is a great opportunity for new auctioneers looking to get in front of a crowd, any auctioneer looking for a little extra work, or semi-retired auctioneers looking to stay in the business. We generally have auctions the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 2PM til about 7PM with occasional extra sales. Responsibilities are only to call bids and/or work the ring. All set up and other auction business is taken care of by the firm. Qualifications A valid Virginia Auctioneer License The ability to call bids for at least 5 hours Must be energetic, personable, and able to foster a lively environment that encourages active participation.
