Job Description
Position Summary The Real Estate Paralegal/Processor is responsible for managing residential real estate transactions from contract to post-closing. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, and effective communication with clients, lenders, realtors, and attorneys to ensure timely and accurate closings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review title commitments and identify title defects Coordinate title clearing, including obtaining payoffs, releases, and supporting documentation Prepare HUD-1 Settlement Statements and Closing Disclosures (CDs) Draft and review closing documents for accuracy and completeness Schedule closings and coordinate with all parties involved in the transaction Communicate with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys throughout the closing process Ensure compliance with all applicable real estate and lending regulations Facilitate closings and ensure proper execution of documents Handle post-closing matters, including recording and file disbursement Maintain accurate and organized file records Perform general administrative and office support tasks as needed Preferred Skills Strong knowledge of closing procedures and title processes Experience with HUD-1 and Closing Disclosure preparation Familiarity with title review and title clearing processes Proficiency in real estate closing software; experience with Qualia preferred Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Experience working in a real estate law firm or title company Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines consistently High level of professionalism and client service Compensation Compensation is commensurate with experience.
