Job Description

Fuller, Willingham & Carter, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Real Estate Legal Assistant to join our firm and we are looking for a candidate who excels in at least one of our core areas: Loan Closings, Title Abstracting, or Title Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
Loan Closings:
Coordinate and manage residential and/or commercial real estate closings. This includes preparing Closing Disclosures (CD), ALTA settlement statements, and coordinating with lenders, agents, and clients.
Title Examination:
Review title commitments, identify potential clouds on title, and work to resolve liens, judgments, or encumbrances.
Underwriting Support:
Assist in the title underwriting process, ensuring all requirements are met to issue title insurance policies.
Abstracting & Research:
Conduct or review thorough title searches and abstracts. You must be comfortable navigating local land records (both online and at the courthouse) to establish a clear chain of title.
Document Preparation:
Draft deeds, affidavits, mortgages, and other essential legal documents with high precision.
Post-Closing:
Oversee the recording of documents and the timely disbursement of funds.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
