Job Description
About the Role As our Leasing Consultant, you own the leasing process from first hello to move-in day. You'll be the first point of contact for prospective residents — answering inquiries, giving tours, helping applicants through the process, and getting new residents settled into their homes. This role covers three nearby markets (Fort Smith, Greenwood, and Lavaca), so you'll spend your week on the move rather than behind a desk all day. If you love turning an inquiry into a signed lease and a happy new resident, you'll do well here. What You'll Do Respond quickly to leads from phone, email, listing sites, and walk-ins, and follow up until they're ready to lease Schedule and lead property tours across our Fort Smith, Greenwood, and Lavaca communities Guide applicants through applications and screening, and communicate decisions promptly and fairly Prepare and complete lease agreements accurately, and collect deposits and first payments Coordinate a smooth move-in experience with our maintenance team and Property Manager Keep online listings accurate and appealing, and share what you're seeing in the local market Support the Property Manager with renewals and day-to-day needs when leasing is quiet What We're Looking For 1+ year in leasing, sales, customer service, hospitality, or a similar people-focused role A friendly, confident communicator who's comfortable guiding someone to a decision Organized and dependable — you stay on top of follow-ups without dropping the ball A valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation (this role travels between three markets) Familiarity with Fair Housing basics, or a willingness to learn right away Comfortable using software for day-to-day work; AppFolio experience is a plus Nice to Have Previous multifamily or apartment leasing experience Knowledge of the Fort Smith, Greenwood, and Lavaca rental markets What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Gas allowance for travel between properties A supportive, family-owned company where your work makes a visible difference Generally Monday-Friday 8-5, but we will allow flexibility.
