Job Overview Closing Agent Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Closing Agent to join our title company team at our Salem, Arkansas location. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of real estate transactions from contract to closing. This position requires working closely with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, and real estate agents to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely closings. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and other parties involved in real estate transactions. Maintain professional phone and email etiquette while communicating with clients and business partners. Review real estate contracts, offer and acceptance agreements, title commitments, and related closing documents. Read and interpret title commitments and ensure all title requirements are satisfied prior to closing. Prepare, compile, balance, and verify closing figures with buyers, sellers, and lenders. Prepare and coordinate closing packages and supporting documentation. Schedule and facilitate real estate closings. Record deeds, mortgages, releases, and other legal documents with the appropriate county offices. Ensure compliance with company policies, lender requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations. Coordinate with real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and clients throughout the closing process. Maintain accurate transaction files and documentation. Resolve issues and discrepancies that may arise during the closing process. Become a commissioned Arkansas Notary Public if not currently commissioned and perform notarial duties as required for real estate transactions. Manage multiple transactions while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy. Qualifications Previous experience in title, escrow, real estate closing, mortgage lending, or a related field preferred. Strong understanding of real estate transactions and closing procedures. Ability to read and interpret title commitments and legal documents. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and title/closing software. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current Arkansas Notary Public commission preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain a Notary Public commission upon employment.
