Job Description

Summary The Success and Support Leasing Consultant is a dynamic, multi-site leadership role responsible for supporting leasing operations across multiple communities as business needs arise. This position focuses on driving occupancy, delivering an exceptional prospect and resident experience, supporting onsite leasing teams, and ensuring leasing and application processes are executed accurately and efficiently. The Success and Support Leasing Consultant serves as an on-demand leasing leader for communities experiencing staffing transitions, lease-ups, acquisitions, increased leasing demand, or temporary coverage gaps. This role requires frequent travel between properties and the ability to quickly adapt to different teams, markets, and operational needs. This position is heavily focused on leasing execution, prospect management, application processing, lease file compliance, resident communication, team leadership, and training support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
  • Provide leasing leadership and onsite support to communities experiencing staffing shortages, lease-ups, acquisitions, or operational transitions.
  • Support and lead onsite leasing teams to achieve occupancy, traffic conversion, and resident retention goals.
  • Deliver a superior prospect and resident experience through professional communication, follow-up, and customer service.
  • Conduct virtual and onsite tours while effectively presenting apartment homes, community amenities, and lifestyle benefits.
  • Assist prospects throughout the leasing process including inquiries, follow-up, application completion, screening coordination, and lease execution.
  • Review, audit, and maintain lease files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and Fair Housing requirements.
  • Ensure application and file management processes are organized, timely, and compliant across assigned communities.
  • Train and coach leasing associates and onsite teams on leasing standards, systems, customer service expectations, and company procedures.
  • Monitor leasing traffic, prospect follow-up, and lead management to maximize closing ratios and occupancy performance.
  • Support marketing and outreach initiatives including resident events, campus outreach, social media engagement, and community promotions.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of market conditions, competitor communities, and leasing trends to support leasing strategy recommendations.
  • Respond to resident concerns and inquiries professionally while collaborating with onsite teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new leasing team members during property transitions or staffing changes.
  • Support leasing operations at multiple communities based on company needs and priorities.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive culture within onsite teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to leasing activity and prospect management.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Other onsite duties as assigned to support community success. Competencies

  • Professional demeanor with strong conflict resolution skills. Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in multi-family leasing, property management, or related real estate roles.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring leasing teams preferred.
  • Strong experience with leasing processes, application management, and lease file compliance.
  • Experience in lease-ups, acquisitions, or multi-site support roles preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and property management software (Yardi Voyager preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Fair Housing laws and leasing regulations.
  • High level of professionalism and customer service skills.
  • Equivalent professional experience or educational degree accepted.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required. Physical Requirements
  • Works in an onsite office and community environment.
  • Frequently stands, walks, tours apartment homes, and interacts with residents, prospects, and team members.
  • Frequently speaks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard and telephone.
  • Frequently bends, stoops, kneels, and reaches.
  • Occasionally lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls materials up to 50 pounds with assistance if needed. Other Requirements
  • Driving is required. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be able to travel regularly between multiple property locations as needed.
  • Scheduling flexibility is required and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays based on business needs.
