$25.00 - $30.00 hourly Actual compensation within this range will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and other job-related considerations permitted by law. As a Senior Home Equity Loan Specialist, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to members, processing and originating HELOC and Fixed-Rate Second Mortgage loans while acting as a subject matter expert for the Home Equity team. Serve as a trusted advisor by educating members on available Home Equity products and recommending solutions that meet their financial goals. Review and analyze loan applications, credit reports, income documentation, tax returns, debt-to-income calculations, loan-to-value ratios, and property valuations. Handle complex loan files, including high-profile member transactions, employee loans, challenging customer service situations, and non-traditional income scenarios. Coordinate with title companies, escrow partners, and internal teams to resolve title, vesting, lien, subordination, payoff, and documentation issues. Prepare closing instructions and loan documents while ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the closing process. Manage loan pipelines and maintain proactive communication with members from initial application through closing. Review title reports and policies, clear title conditions, request lien releases, and coordinate escrow activities. Present loan recommendations to underwriters and support approval or denial decisions through thorough analysis and documentation. Deliver disclosures, provide pricing quotes, lock rates, discuss payment options, and cross-sell relevant products and services. Act as a resource and mentor to team members by providing training, guidance, and support on Home Equity products, systems, and procedures. Assist with process improvements, training development, policy updates, and operational enhancements. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Minimum 4 years of
FNMA/FHLMC
mortgage processing experience Minimum 2 years of current Home Equity loan processing experience Strong knowledge of HELOCs, second mortgages, and Home Equity lending Experience reviewing and interpreting Title Reports and Title Policies NMLS registration (or ability to obtain and maintain registration) Successful completion of federal background screening requirements Knowledge of applicable lending regulations and compliance requirements Regulatory Knowledge Experience working within: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending) Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act)
