Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Leasing Agent / Manager to join our dynamic property management team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for prospective tenants and current residents, managing leasing processes, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and fostering positive relationships. Your proactive approach will help maximize occupancy rates while delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in property leasing, administration, and tenant relations within a vibrant real estate environment. Duties Greet prospective tenants with enthusiasm, conduct property tours, and present leasing options confidently to drive occupancy. Manage the entire leasing process from application submission through lease signing, including screening applicants using LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) guidelines and Section 8 programs. Maintain accurate data entry in Yardi and OneSite property management systems, ensuring all tenant information is current and compliant with Fair Housing regulations. Oversee lease agreements, contracts, and legal documentation, ensuring adherence to landlord-tenant law and company policies. Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy, providing timely updates and resolving issues effectively. Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilitate communication between tenants and facilities management teams to ensure a well-maintained community. Conduct regular conflict management practices to address tenant concerns or disputes promptly while upholding a positive community atmosphere. Skills Strong knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8 housing programs, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law to ensure compliance. Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and Office experience for efficient administrative operations. Excellent customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and conflict management abilities to foster positive tenant relationships. Experience in property management, property leasing, sales techniques including upselling amenities or services to prospective tenants. Ability to handle legal administrative tasks such as contracts, filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records. Skilled in negotiation and contract management to secure favorable lease terms while meeting regulatory requirements. Facilities management knowledge for coordinating property maintenance activities and ensuring a safe living environment.
