Commission Job Summary:
A Leasing Agent acts as an initial ambassador between the public, their residents of the apartment community and the community management team. This individual is responsible for providing exception service to community residents and internal team members. They must provide the community with value and quality by assessing the needs of clients they are assisting and providing a solution that not only coincides with the goals of the community but is beneficial for all concerned parties. Job Requirements:
Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred or fluency in another commonly spoken language in the community. Experience with Yardi Breeze or Yardi Voyager preferred. Knowledge of Fair Housing laws (or willingness to learn). Proficiency with basic office software (Microsoft Office/Google, Teams, Excel). Reliable transportation. 2+ years on-site leasing experience required. Skills & Competencies Excellent customer service and communication skills, written and verbal. Strong ability to engage with prospective residents and conduct property tours confidently. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Sales-minded with the ability to close leases and follow up with prospects. Professional and friendly demeanor. Ability to handle resident questions, concerns, and general communication effectively, including bilingual support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greet prospective residents, provide tours, and explain community features and pricing. Respond to phone, email, and online leads promptly. Assist prospects with applications, screenings, and the move-in process. Prepare leases, addendums, and other required documentation. Use Yardi Breeze/Yardi to enter leads, update guest cards, process applications, and manage basic leasing tasks. Support residents with questions, notices, and general customer service needs. Help maintain model units and the overall appearance of the leasing office. Assist with resident events, marketing efforts, and outreach as needed. Work collaboratively with the onsite team to meet occupancy and leasing goals. Work Environment & Expectations Saturdays are required. Additional weekend or extended hours may be required during high leasing periods or events. Professional appearance and positive attitude at all times. Ability to walk the property, show units, climb stairs, and perform typical leasing functions.
