Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and proactive Leasing Agent to join our dynamic property management team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective tenants, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in customer service, marketing, and negotiation will help showcase our properties' best features, ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and a thorough understanding of fair housing regulations. Duties Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide detailed property tours to highlight features and amenities. Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, or in person, ensuring excellent customer service at every touchpoint. Conduct thorough tenant screenings, including background checks and credit reports, in compliance with fair housing laws. Negotiate lease terms and rental agreements confidently while maintaining transparency and fairness. Market available units through various channels such as online listings, social media platforms, and community outreach efforts. Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, applications, and correspondence in the property management system. Collaborate with property management staff to coordinate move-ins, lease renewals, and tenant retention initiatives. Coordinate work orders and repairs in units with tenants and maintenance staff. Collect rent and send out notices as needed to tenants. Qualifications Proven experience in property management, real estate sales, or leasing roles with strong administrative skills. Excellent communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse communities. Demonstrated negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while adhering to legal standards. Knowledge of fair housing regulations and real estate law to ensure compliant leasing practices. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple applications and lease documents simultaneously. Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly yet professional demeanor. Prior experience in marketing or sales is preferred to effectively promote properties and attract tenants.
