In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal administrative procedures will ensure a seamless experience for applicants while maximizing occupancy rates. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your sales skills, property management knowledge, and industry experience to make a positive impact on our community. Duties Greet prospective residents warmly and provide detailed tours of available apartments, highlighting features and community amenities to foster interest and engagement. Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, including data entry into Yardi or OneSite property management systems. Conduct thorough background checks, verify income and rental history, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and other relevant programs. Negotiate lease agreements, contracts, and renewal terms while ensuring adherence to legal standards such as landlord-tenant law. Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities, filing documents systematically and managing legal administrative tasks efficiently. Address resident concerns promptly with excellent conflict management skills, fostering positive relationships and high customer satisfaction. Upsell community services or additional amenities to prospective residents to enhance occupancy and revenue streams. Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate property upkeep and address facilities management needs promptly. Stay informed on Section 8 regulations, Fair Housing laws, and other legal requirements to ensure compliance across all leasing activities. Provide exceptional office support through phone etiquette, customer relationship management (CRM), data entry, filing, and administrative tasks using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools. Experience Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of property management operations. Demonstrated success in sales or customer service roles within a real estate or property management environment. Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite or similar property management software platforms is highly desirable. Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing assistance policies, Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, and related legal frameworks. Experience handling contracts, negotiations, conflict resolution, and legal administrative procedures effectively. Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, phone etiquette, and facilities management is essential. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
