Job Description

We are currently seeking a professional and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our team at a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) apartment community. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in affordable housing and a strong understanding of LIHTC compliance requirements. This position is responsible for managing prospect leads, qualifying applicants, leasing apartment homes, and ensuring full compliance with affordable housing regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage, track, and respond to all prospect inquiries using
KNOCK CRM
Conduct property tours and professionally present apartment homes and community amenities Qualify applicants in accordance with LIHTC program requirements, including income verification and documentation review Maintain accurate and compliant applicant and resident files Ensure strict adherence to LIHTC regulations and Fair Housing guidelines Process rental applications, certifications, and lease documentation Coordinate and facilitate the move-in process to ensure a positive resident experience Follow up with prospects to maximize conversion and maintain occupancy goals Assist with annual recertifications and resident retention efforts Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure units are prepared for occupancy
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience working in a LIHTC/affordable housing community is required Experience processing income certifications and maintaining compliance files Experience using
KNOCK CRM
strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities Ability to work weekends and flexible hours as needed We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable professional committed to compliance, customer service, and maintaining high occupancy within an affordable housing community
