Job Description

NM Residential is seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant to join our amazing team at Venice Isles. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for apartment rentals, move-ins, and lease renewals while achieving maximum occupancy. This position operates within and contributes to an environment that complies with Fair Housing laws and Equal Employment Opportunity standards. Key Responsibilities Market vacant units and renew occupied units Conduct market surveys to analyze competitors Track telephone and office traffic Conduct property tours demonstrating the property's amenities Follow up with potential and renewing residents until leases are closed Conduct credit checks and income verifications while maintaining confidentiality Draft leases for new and renewing residents Inspect vacant units and report repair items Prepare welcome packages and schedule move-ins/move-outs Provide exceptional customer service and promote resident retention Process maintenance/work orders and maintain control in emergencies Manage resident package check-ins Perform general administrative duties (filing, phones, mail, rent collection, etc.) Attend staff meetings and complete internal training
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or
GED Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of apartment leasing experience
Skills and Abilities Administrative:
Phones, correspondence, data entry
Analytical:
Lease review, invoice discrepancies, problem solving
Communication:
Clear written and verbal communication
Computer:
Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet, MRI Coordinating:
Scheduling and prioritizing tasks
Creative:
Marketing and leasing presentations
Mathematical:
Lease calculations, prorations, special rates
Other:
Confidentiality, customer service, initiative, teamwork, time management Schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, and Saturdays, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM Compensation Hourly range: $17- $18, plus commission and renewal bonus opportunities.
