Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal administrative procedures will ensure a seamless experience for applicants while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines. Duties Greet prospective tenants warmly, providing comprehensive tours of available properties and answering all inquiries with clarity and enthusiasm. Manage the leasing process from initial contact through lease signing, including application review, background checks, and verification of eligibility for programs like Section 8. Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite to input data accurately, track leads, and maintain detailed records of applicant interactions. Prepare and present lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and Landlord-tenant regulations. Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule property inspections and address any tenant or property issues promptly. Conduct conflict management by addressing tenant concerns professionally, resolving disputes efficiently, and maintaining positive relationships. Upsell available amenities or additional services to enhance resident satisfaction and occupancy rates while adhering to ethical sales practices. Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, contracts, and administrative records; perform data entry tasks diligently. Assist in facilities management tasks such as coordinating repairs or overseeing property maintenance requests through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Provide exceptional customer service via phone etiquette, in-person interactions, and written communication to foster long-term resident relationships. Experience Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles, with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is highly preferred. Prior experience working with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties or Section 8 programs is advantageous. Demonstrated ability in sales, negotiation, and conflict resolution within a customer service environment. Office experience involving data entry, filing, contracts management, and general administrative support is essential. Knowledge of facilities management practices and property maintenance procedures enhances effectiveness in this role. Excellent phone etiquette combined with strong organizational skills ensures smooth daily operations and exceptional resident engagement.
