In this role, you will be responsible for guiding prospective residents through the leasing process, ensuring a positive experience that aligns with fair housing regulations and legal standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a thorough understanding of property leasing procedures, and familiarity with relevant laws such as landlord-tenant law and Section 8 housing programs. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team committed to providing exceptional housing solutions while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Greet prospective tenants professionally, answer inquiries, and provide detailed information about available properties and leasing terms. Conduct property tours, highlighting features and benefits to facilitate informed decision-making. Manage the leasing process from application submission through approval, including data entry into property management systems such as Yardi or OneSite. Verify applicant information, including income verification for LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties and Section 8 eligibility. Prepare, review, and negotiate lease agreements, contracts, and related legal documents in compliance with Fair Housing regulations. Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, applications, and lease documentation through filing systems and data management tools. Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate property readiness and address tenant concerns promptly. Upsell available units or additional services to prospective tenants to maximize occupancy rates. Resolve conflicts or disputes professionally while adhering to legal standards and conflict management best practices. Stay informed about local housing laws, landlord-tenant regulations, and updates in real estate administrative procedures. Requirements Prior experience in property leasing, real estate administration, or property management is highly desirable. Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, and Fair Housing regulations. Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and legal administrative processes related to leasing. Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal communication abilities. Experience with contracts negotiation, conflict management, and legal documentation handling. Office experience including data entry, filing systems, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and general administrative tasks. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with facilities management principles and property maintenance coordination is a plus. This role is integral to fostering positive tenant relationships while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
