Duties Greet prospective tenants warmly and conduct property tours that highlight key features and amenities, emphasizing the community's unique benefits. Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, including data entry into property management systems like Yardi or OneSite. Prepare, review, and negotiate lease agreements, contracts, and renewal documents in compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law. Assist applicants with Section 8 and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs, ensuring all documentation aligns with federal and state guidelines. Conduct thorough background checks, credit screenings, and reference verifications to select qualified tenants. Maintain organized filing systems for lease documents, legal paperwork, and administrative records while managing correspondence via phone etiquette and email communication. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate repairs or facilities management issues promptly. Upsell available amenities or lease options to maximize occupancy while providing excellent customer service that fosters long-term tenant satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all legal administrative requirements related to leasing, including conflict management and dispute resolution when necessary. Experience Proven experience in property leasing or property management roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations. Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms like CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing assistance policies, and related federal/state regulations is highly preferred. Demonstrated success in sales or customer relationship management within real estate or leasing environments. Strong administrative skills including data entry, filing, legal document handling, and office experience. Excellent conflict management abilities coupled with negotiation skills to resolve issues effectively while maintaining positive tenant relationships. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism through phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
