Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney Boston, Massachusetts Full-Time | Direct Hire | Hybrid (4 Days In Office, 1 Remote)
Pay:
$150-180K+ An established and respected Boston law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, trust administration, and probate matters for high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of estate and gift tax planning, experience managing complex planning and administration matters, and the ability to independently advise clients while collaborating with accountants, financial advisors, and other professional advisors. Key Responsibilities Draft and implement sophisticated estate planning documents, including: Revocable Trusts Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (ILITs) Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts (SLATs) Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts (IDGTs) Qualified Personal Residence Trusts (QPRTs) Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts (GRATs) Develop and implement wealth transfer strategies, including gifting programs and installment sales of business interests Form and advise family limited liability companies and family limited partnerships Counsel clients regarding estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax planning Advise fiduciaries on trust and estate administration matters Manage probate and trust administration matters from inception through closing Prepare and review federal estate tax returns (Form 706) and gift tax returns (Form 709) Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active admission to practice law in Massachusetts 5+ years of Trusts & Estates experience Experience with sophisticated estate planning and trust/estate administration matters Working knowledge of estate, gift, and GST tax planning Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred This is an outstanding opportunity for a Trusts & Estates attorney seeking sophisticated work, direct client contact, and a clear path for professional growth within a well-established and collaborative Boston practice!
