We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our growing property management team. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for marketing and leasing residential properties, managing prospective tenant relationships, processing rental applications, maintaining tenant communications, supporting rent collection efforts, and assisting with tenant retention initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, sales-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with leasing and property management standards. Key Responsibilities Leasing & Marketing
  • Create, maintain, and update property listings across online platforms and marketing channels.
  • Respond promptly to rental inquiries and generate qualified leads.
  • Conduct property tours and showings for prospective tenants.
  • Present property features, amenities, and community benefits to prospective residents.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives designed to maximize occupancy rates. Lead Management
  • Track and manage prospective tenant leads through CRM and property management systems.
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospects throughout the leasing process.
  • Follow up on inquiries, property showings, and pending applications to maximize conversion rates. Application Processing
  • Guide applicants through the rental application process.
  • Collect and review required documentation, including income verification, rental history, and identification.
  • Coordinate background checks, credit screenings, and reference verifications.
  • Communicate application approvals, denials, and next steps to applicants.
  • Prepare lease agreements and related documentation for execution. Tenant Communication
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for current and prospective tenants.
  • Answer questions regarding lease terms, policies, procedures, and property-related concerns.
  • Coordinate communication between tenants, maintenance personnel, and property management teams.
  • Maintain professional, positive, and responsive relationships with residents. Rent Collection & Follow-Up
  • Monitor rent payments and maintain accurate payment records.
  • Send rent reminders, late notices, and payment-related communications.
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts and coordinate collection efforts in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain detailed documentation regarding payment arrangements and collection activities. Tenant Retention
  • Foster positive tenant relationships to encourage lease renewals.
  • Conduct lease renewal outreach and communicate available renewal options.
  • Address resident concerns promptly and professionally to improve satisfaction and retention.
  • Assist with resident appreciation and retention programs. Legal Compliance & Eviction Support
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable landlord-tenant laws and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Assist with preparation and documentation related to lease violations, notices, and eviction proceedings.
  • Coordinate with property managers, attorneys, and court personnel regarding eviction cases.
  • Attend court hearings and eviction-related proceedings as a company representative when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of legal notices, court filings, and case outcomes. Administrative Duties
  • Maintain organized tenant, prospect, and property records.
  • Update property management software and leasing databases.
  • Prepare reports related to leasing activity, occupancy, collections, and renewals.
  • Perform additional administrative and property management duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in business, real estate, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in leasing, property management, real estate, sales, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with property management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws, Fair Housing regulations, and leasing practices preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk properties and conduct property showings.
  • Ability to travel to properties, court appearances, and business-related meetings as required.
Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
