Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented and personable professional with a passion for affordable housing and helping communities thrive? We are seeking an Affordable Housing Leasing Specialist to join our team and play a key role in connecting residents with safe, quality, and affordable housing. In this role, you will support leasing activities, ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, and help maintain high occupancy levels while delivering excellent customer service to current and prospective residents. This role has a guaranteed base pay plus performance incentives including monthly renewal and move in commissions and more!
What You'll Do:
Handle all leasing activities including generating traffic, responding to inquiries, greeting and touring prospects, qualifying leads, and closing leases. Promote resident satisfaction and retention by addressing questions, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally. Support the property management team to deliver a superior resident experience.
  • Interview and process eligible households for rental assistance and affordable housing programs Monitor, prepare, and distribute annual recertification and interim adjustment notices.
  • Explain rent calculation to residents and assists with completion of recertification materials as assigned. Prepare and send appropriate notices of rent adjustments in accordance with HUD regulations.
  • Special projects as assigned by Community Director.

What We're Looking For:
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance. Preferably a four-year degree (business, marketing, hospitality, or property management a plus). Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Fair Housing laws. Previous multifamily industry experience (Yardi experience strongly preferred). Experience with LIHTC compliance highly considered. Availability to work evenings and weekends (weekends on a rotating basis).
