Job Description

In-House Leasing Agent - Apartment Community Position Summary We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our on-site management team. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for leasing apartments, assisting prospective residents throughout the application and move-in process, and delivering exceptional resident service while helping maintain high occupancy levels within the community. Key Responsibilities Conduct apartment tours and effectively present community features, amenities, and floor plans to prospective residents Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in person in a timely and professional manner Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to convert leads into signed leases Process rental applications, verify required documentation, and assist with lease execution Coordinate move-ins, renewals, and resident communications Maintain accurate prospect and resident records within property management software Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and leasing activity within the area Assist with resident retention initiatives and renewal efforts Ensure model units, common areas, and grounds are clean and presentable at all times Support marketing and outreach initiatives, including social media and local community engagement Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure resident satisfaction Qualifications Prior leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules as needed Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills Experience with apartment leasing or multifamily housing Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing practices Familiarity with CRM or property management systems such as Yardi, AppFolio, or MRI Compensation & Benefits Competitive salaried compensation Performance-based Bonus potential
