Job Description

Escrow Assistant An Escrow Assistant performs a wide range of administrative and office support activities for Escrow Officers. The Escrow Assistant will be the first contact with our customer when they make their request for documents and payments. Since the Escrow Assistant has first contact with customer, they will need to listen intently to customer needs. It is essential that the Escrow Assistant have a basic knowledge of State regulations in regard to Escrow Companies. The Escrow Assistant will need to have a basic knowledge of real estate contracts, deeds of trust and mortgages. The Escrow Assistant needs to know how they are used by our customers for the basis of servicing an account at American Escrow Company. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer, screen and transfer in bound phone calls
  • Receive, assist, and take payments from customers
  • General clerical duties including o Photocopying, scanning o Faxing and mailing o Retrieve documents from filing system o Handle request for information and data o Resolve administrative problems and inquiries o Prepare written responses to routine Inquiries o Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, memos and emails o Scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments o Check voicemail daily o Filing • Data entry into the Lincoln Data • President of American Escrow's and Escrow Officer's - administrative assistant - duties are as assigned by either party Skills and Specifications • Ability to speak, write and read English language • Planning, organizing and prioritizing work • Attention to detail and accuracy • Problem assessment and problem solving • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work • Able to work efficiently as a team member Education and Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma or equivalent • Must be able to type 40 words per minute with accuracy • Strong customer service skills • Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of relevant software • Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
