Real Estate Title Examiner / Post Closer (Non-Remote Position)

Real Estate industry knowledge is required. Real Estate Title Examiner experience is required. Examining /Pre Closing Searches public records to determine the legal conditions of property title. Researches copies of records such as but not limited to mortgage, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics and plat and map books to determine ownership and legal restrictions and verify legal description of property. Copies and summarizes recorded documents such as mortgage, trust deeds and contracts affecting conditions of title to property. Analyzing restrictions and prepares report outlining restrictions and actions to clear title. Attending real estate closings as required. Maintain current updates on evolving title issues within industry via underwriters and real estate organizations. Participation in continuing education within real estate field. Assist and/or advise clients on title issues throughout closing process. Traveling to other counties clerk's offices is required from time to time. Final Policies / Post Closing Review and scrutinize final recorded documents for accuracy. Review and scrutinize curatives as they apply to the Preliminary Title Report. Issue Final Title Policies that guarantees legality of title per Industry and Underwriting Standards. Assist underwriting counsel with claims. Candidate must speak and read English. Candidate must be able to read cursive.
