Full-time Leasing Consultant - Heron Pointe Apartments Heron Pointe Apartments in Grand Island, NY is looking for a professional, motivated, and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our property management team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys sales, customer service, relationship-building, and working in a fast-paced residential environment. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, confident, and able to follow through from the first phone call to the signed lease. Heron Pointe is a luxury apartment community located at 1993 Grand Island Blvd in Grand Island, NY. The community offers 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartment homes with features such as stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, walk-in closets, in-unit washer and dryer, private entrances, and community amenities including a heated saltwater pool, clubhouse, fitness center, playground, dog park, grilling areas, basketball, and pickleball courts. Position Summary The Leasing Agent is responsible for leasing apartments, assisting prospective residents, providing excellent customer service, supporting resident retention, and helping maintain strong occupancy at the community. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, consistent follow-up, and the ability to represent the property professionally. A successful Leasing Agent understands that leasing is both sales and service. You are helping people choose their next home while also supporting the daily operations of the property. Key Responsibilities Respond to phone calls, emails, online inquiries, and walk-in traffic promptly and professionally Schedule and conduct apartment tours with prospective residents Present apartment features, community amenities, pricing, availability, and lease terms clearly Follow up with prospects to help convert leads into leases Process applications and assist applicants through the leasing process Prepare lease documents and ensure information is accurate and complete Maintain accurate records in the property management system Support resident communication and provide excellent customer service Assist with renewal follow-up and resident retention efforts Help maintain strong occupancy and meet leasing goals Monitor market conditions and understand competing communities Walk vacant apartments, models, and amenity areas to ensure they are tour-ready Work closely with the Property Manager, maintenance team, and other staff Follow company policies, fair housing guidelines, and professional leasing standards Qualifications Prior leasing, sales, hospitality, property management, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and follow-up skills Professional appearance and positive attitude Comfortable speaking with prospective residents and asking for the lease Ability to build rapport and create a welcoming experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy office environment Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management software Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to work independently and take initiative Knowledge of Fair Housing guidelines preferred, but training can be provided What We Offer $19.00 per hour plus commissions, depending on experience Full-time employment opportunity Professional property management environment Opportunity to earn commissions through successful leasing Supportive team atmosphere Growth and development opportunities within a growing company Competitive benefits package Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is personable, polished, and motivated.
