An established firm based in New York, NY with over 100 years in practice is seeking a Trusts and Estates Senior Associate/Counsel with 6+ years of experience to join their team in Manhattan! This attorney will have proven experience in sophisticated estate planning techniques, including Credit Shelter Trusts, GRATs, SLATs, and related strategies for federally taxable estates, as well as experience preparing Federal and New York State Estate Tax Returns.

Qualifications :
Active admission to the New York State Bar is required 6+ years of experience in trusts and estates with a focus on estate planning Demonstrated knowledge of sophisticated estate planning techniques including Credit Shelter Trusts, GRATs, and SLATs Experience advising on federally taxable estates valued over $16 million Proficiency in preparing Federal and New York State Estate Tax Returns Strong drafting and analytical skills across estate planning documents and instruments
Responsibilities :
Advise clients on sophisticated estate planning strategies tailored to high-net-worth individuals and federally taxable estates Draft and review estate planning documents including trusts, wills, and related instruments Apply advanced planning techniques such as Credit Shelter Trusts, GRATs, SLATs, and similar structures Prepare and oversee Federal and New York State Estate Tax Returns for applicable clients Coordinate with clients and their financial advisors to develop and implement comprehensive estate plans Stay current on changes to federal and state tax law as they relate to estate planning and administration For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
