Lacy Katzen LLP is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and client-focused Trust & Estates Legal Assistant to join our thriving Trusts & Estates practice. Our Trusts & Estates department is one of the firm's busiest and most active practice groups, serving a large and growing client base with estate planning, trust administration, probate, elder law, and related matters. As a result, this position is ideal for an individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. The successful candidate will be an integral member of a collaborative legal team and will support multiple attorneys and paralegals while interacting with clients during some of the most important planning and life-transition decisions they face. No two days are alike, and the ability to remain organized, responsive, and detail-oriented while handling a high volume of work is essential. What You'll Do
- Perform conflict checks upon initial contact with prospective clients.
- Prepare a high volume of legal documents, forms, and correspondence, including Wills, Trusts, Deeds, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, and related estate planning documents.
- Open new client matters promptly and accurately in the firm's case management system.
- Coordinate a busy calendar of client meetings, document signings, consultations, and attorney appointments.
- Anticipate attorney needs by reviewing schedules, preparing client files, and ensuring all required documentation is available in advance of meetings.
- Manage electronic filing and administrative submissions for attorneys and paralegals.
- Maintain frequent communication with clients, providing professional, compassionate, and responsive service both in person and by telephone.
- Organize, maintain, and close client files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Support attorneys and paralegals in managing a substantial caseload while ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.

Salary Range:
